For position of the GENERAL DIRECTOR, FINANCIAL DIRECTOR and TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

 CUPRU MIN SA is the only producer in Romania having as main activity the extraction of non-ferrous metal ores, the preparation of copper ores and the valorization of cuprous concentrate and precious metals. The company has 568 employees and holds the exploitation right for about 60% of Romania's natural copper reserves.

The sole shareholder - the Romanian state through the Ministry of Economy, Commerce and Business Environment Relations - has established for CUPRU MIN SA the strategic objective of long-term sustainable exploitation of non-ferrous ores reserves with the effect of economic regeneration of the specific and impacting industry significantly positive in the sustainable development of the economic, social and cultural environment of the geographical area of presence, as a state-owned and organized company governed by legal provisions and good corporate governance practices.

CUPRU MIN SA launches the recruitment and selection procedure for: General Manager, Financial Director and Technical Manager.

Candidates must have proven experience in organizational change management and the ability to generate and implement significant changes in organizational culture. Candidates must have a good reputation at a personal and professional level.

The General Requirements for all 3 Positions:

•    Management skills

•    Competencies for managing complex tasks and achieving the established objectives;

THE GENERAL MANAGER ROLE

The Chief Executive Officer will organize and conduct the company's current activity in accordance with the financial and non-financial company KPIs indicators included in the mandate contract negotiated and agreed with the Board of Directors so that the company achieves its objectives set out in the Administration Plan that approved by the sole shareholder.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Candidates must have prior experience in top management role with a thorough understanding of the management systems in the industry and of the requirements of an efficient activity in a competitive economic environment; experience in an extractive industry is an asset.

RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION CRITERIA

Recruitment and selection criteria to be met cumulatively:

•    Minimum 10 years of professional experience, of which at least 5 years in leading positions in companies with turnover of minimum 10 million Euro and minimum 300 employees

•    Graduate (s) of higher education

•    Knowledge of the Romanian language and of an international language

•    Experience in developing and implementing strategies for the development, optimization and modernization of companies

•    Professionally and personally reputable reputation;

Specific criteria that are advantageous:

•    Graduate of a specialization / master in the following fields: management / technical / legal

•    Experience in management positions in Romania and / or abroad

•    Experience in the relationship with public authorities; in-depth knowledge of legislation in the company's field of activity

•    Knowledge of corporate governance

•    Demonstrated strategic vision

 

THE ROLE OF THE FINANCIAL DIRECTOR

The Financial Director will coordinate all the company financial, accounting, budgeting, economic analysis, activities and policies, accounting and financial and accounting records in accordance with domestic law and regulations, planning and performance term payments, keeping balance of cash flows, analyzing the efficiency of the use of funds, expenditure structure, stocks and other financial indicators.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Candidates must have prior management experience in industry / trade / service performance businesses, have a deep understanding of how to work as efficiently as possible in a competitive economic environment; experience within an industry company is an asset.

RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION CRITERIA

Recruitment and selection criteria to be met cumulatively:

•    Minimum 10 years of professional experience, of which at least 3 years in leading positions in companies with turnover of minimum 8 million Euro and minimum 200 employees

•    Higher education graduate with economic profile

•    Knowledge of the Romanian language and of an international language

•    Experience in implementing and using complex information systems such as ERP and Business Intelligence;

•    Knowledge and experience in the field of International Financial Reporting Standards - IFRS

•    Sound knowledge in the field of financial and accounting legislation, fiscal, financial control, labor relations;

•    Experience in financial management - analysis, planning, treasury, reporting;

•    Professionally and personally reputable reputation;

Specific criteria that are advantageous:

•    Qualification as a financial / accounting expert

•    Graduate of a specialization / master in accounting / taxation / finance / management

•    Experience in local and international companies

•    Experience in the relationship with tax authorities, banks, solid knowledge of tax legislation and practice

•    Knowledge of corporate governance

•    Demonstrated vision of economic strategy

•    Interpersonal communication skills

•    Experience in managing, training, coordinating and developing teams, planning professional succession

 

THE ROLE OF THE TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

The person in charge of this position will be responsible for the company's investment strategy (including technology, licensing, machinery and equipment imports, ensuring the correct use of work and protection equipment), periodic inspection and repair programs, commissioning machinery and equipment to ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards.

PROFILE OF THE CANDIDATE

Candidates must have prior management experience in industry-performing enterprises, have a thorough understanding of how to work as efficiently as possible in a competitive economic environment; experience within an extractive / mineral processing / machine building company is an advantage.

RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION CRITERIA

Recruitment and selection criteria to be met cumulatively:

•    Minimum 10 years of professional experience, of which at least 3 years in leading positions in companies with turnover of minimum 8 million Euro and minimum 200 employees

•    Graduate (s) of technical education

•    Knowledge of the Romanian language and of an international language

Specific criteria that are advantageous:

•    Graduate (s) of a specialization / master in technical / management fields

•    Experience in local and / or international companies
